Inspection Engineer
Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting an award-winning engineering consultancy based in the Teesside area in the appointment of an Inspection Engineer. The main scope of this role will be to support their extensive client base operating in the field of material engineering, corrosion, and Mechanical Engineering in addition to a UKAS Accredited Inspection body. You will act as a site leader for quality assurance and will play a crucial role in supporting the inspection and NDT teams in reviewing technical documentation to ensure they are compliant in accordance with standards including API 510, 570, 580, 653, EEMUA 159, fired equipment, and API 580. This role is full time and permanent and primarily office-based with hybrid working on offer. The role will be Monday-Friday with occasional travel required to UK sites.
Requirements:
1. BEng in Mechanical, Chemical or Materials Engineering
2. Knowledge or certification of APIs/EEMUA 159, fired equipment or willingness to achieve a minimum of 1 certification and API 580.
3. Previous experience working within a similar role within relevant industries, including petrochemical/O&G/chemicals/renewables or experience from a plant engineering role.
4. Knowledge of NDT methods
5. Knowledge of welding procedures and welding QA packs.
6. Knowledge of RBI methodology.
7. Knowledge of fired/boiler equipment.
8. Experience of specifying inspection intervals in accordance with approved codes and current Written Schemes of Examination.
9. Experienced team leader with significant management potential for coordinating workloads.
10. Highly effective interpersonal ability, including leadership, influencing, and motivational skills.
