Are you an Early Career Teacher looking for your first teaching post or an experienced teacher looking for a new role?
We are looking for an inspirational Teacher of Science with the ability to build excellent relationships with students and inspire them in their learning. The Science department is a collaborative team of teachers and technicians who are all passionate about seeing young people succeed in their subject. Our students excel in Science, with well above national average progress across all disciplines and well above national average attainment for two Sciences above grade 4.
We offer an exceptional development programme with support which goes beyond the ECT years, and we welcome applications from candidates with all levels of experience. An enhanced offer is available for exceptional ECTs, which will include a July start date and an additional induction and observation programme.
About us
Esher High School is an excellent, high-performing School and is proud to be part of Enlighten Learning Trust (ELT). We aim to equip our students with the skills to grow into confident, ambitious and responsible citizens ready to face the challenges of the adult world. Our staff are passionate about seeing young people succeed in their subject.
Why work for us?
We work hard to make all staff feel like they belong and can flourish. We create a bespoke induction plan for all new staff, shaped with their input and based on their experience, strengths and aims. All teachers get an additional hour every fortnight of protected PPA, totalling 6 hours for a full-time teacher. We have a culture of 1% improvements, which means no hour-long lesson observations and time wasted producing unnecessary paperwork. All staff love our two-week October half-term and have access to free gym use (with shower facilities), ample on-site parking, an up-to-date 2-in-1 laptop (tablet with pen and laptop all in one), a full Microsoft Office package and a vibrant and social staff body.
If you share our vision based on the unshakeable belief that children learn through all aspects of their daily lives and that their values and knowledge, experiences and habits are as important as their academic qualifications, we would be delighted to hear from you.
