We are working closely with a market leading ALSP that is keen to speak with experienced tech and data lawyers who would be available for a 6 month assignment with a leading global financial services firm in Scotland. Ideally lawyers will have upwards of 5 years’ experience in such matters and will be available immediately or at short notice.
In joining a reputable financial services firm for a 6 month assignment, the successful lawyer can expect to:
* Advise the business on technology, data and intellectual property matters across EMEA
* Be a trusted advisor for the technology department, advising on a wide range of technology laws and requirements to include sourcing/outsourcing/offshoring, cloud, artificial intelligence, IP, operational resiliency and emerging technologies
* Review, draft and negotiate technology, market data, professional services and general services agreements to include tech outsourcing, hardware and software purchases, SaaS transactions, design and construction agreements
* Advise on legal and regulatory changes across tech, data and outsourcing matters
Successful lawyers are likely to be able to demonstrate:
* A minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualified experience, ideally gained at a large financial institution, technology company or notable law firm
* Strong knowledge and experience in advising on a breadth of technology, data, IP and commercial contracts
* The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Exceptional time management skills
* The ability to work independently and make decisions, whilst also being an outstanding team player
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills – and the capacity to build trust with senior stakeholders
The successful Tech and Data lawyer can expect to work with a highly respected global financial services firm in Scotland, for an initial assignment of 6 months. The assignment will be undertaken on a hybrid basis, with successful individuals required to spend 3 days per week in the Glasgow office.
