Business Confucius Institute Project Assistant
Open to current Undergraduate and Masters students at the University of Leeds
Are you a current University of Leeds undergraduate or postgraduate student with an interest in marketing, communications or Mandarin Chinese teaching? Would you like to gain valuable experience of working in a cross-cultural environment?
The Business Confucius Institute at the University of Leeds (BCI) works to promote the understanding of Chinese language and culture with a business focus on helping companies to communicate more effectively with Chinese customers. The BCI delivers a range of activities to achieve this objective, including Mandarin courses, Chinese Proficiency Exams, social media & website posts, and events that are open to all (University students, staff and the general public).
The Project Assistant will play a key role in helping the BCI to achieve its objectives. Working within the BCI team and supporting the Communications and Engagement Officer, you will contribute to a variety of BCI activities, such as scheduling and creating content for BCI’s web and social media, as well as organizing events. Through these activities, you will have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and Mandarin learners, internal and external to the University, and to develop communication, project management, and intercultural skills.
