We are looking for a Communications Business Partner to lead the planning and delivery of high-quality internal and external communications for Gateway Housing Association. The post holder will support the delivery of the organisation's communications strategy in enhancing its reputation, maintaining a strong brand presence, and ensuring transparency and accessibility in all communication activities, both internally with staff and externally with residents, stakeholders, and partners. Your accountabilities will include but not limited to: Review and implement an internal communications strategy that fosters employee engagement and supports a positive organisational culture in alignment with the People Strategy Lead on generating creative, ensure clear, engaging content and ideas, and effective communication strategies that align with the Gateway's objectives, mission, and values. Create and maintain a forward plan of corporate priorities and provide best practice advice and support to services to ensure all communications result in good engagement and are in line with legislation and national industry standards Produce and manage content for external platforms including social media, websites, newsletters, and reports to increase engagement and reach influential stakeholders Review and deliver external communications strategies aimed at residents, local communities, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear, transparent, and consistent messaging Develop creative and innovative campaigns to raise awareness of the Gateway's work and impact within the social housing sector. Lead on the delivery of resident engagement communications, ensuring residents are informed and able to participate in consultations, surveys, and community events Collaborate cross-departmentally to support various teams, ensuring effective communication plans are in place for organisational projects and adherence to Gateway's communication standards Please refer to the attached job profile for more details. Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Essential Proven experience of working in a similar communications role, ideally within the social housing, public, or not-for-profit sectors Strong understanding of both internal and external communications strategies and the ability to develop and implement them effectively Experience in media relations, including drafting press releases and managing media enquiries Proficiency in using digital communication tools, including content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, and email marketing tools Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels Proactive, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work Desirable Professional qualification in communications, public relations, or a related field Knowledge of the social housing sector and its key challenges If you have the confidence and enthusiasm to work in a challenging but supportive working environment, we would like to hear from you.
