Job summary This post is for a Unit Manager for the Yorkshire Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Pinderfields Hospital, consisting of 32 spinal beds. The Unit Manager will be the clinical expert and professional resource to the Multi-Professional team, patients and carers within their Specialty Service. The post holder will take overall responsibility to develop the specialist area of practice in partnership with other members of the specialty team (General Manager, Lead Clinician, Matron, Service Manager etc) will work collaboratively to develop services and quality of care delivered. The post holder will manage and lead the whole service team comprising of nurses and other team members and in addition lead the development and delivery of a programme of practice and professional development for staff within the specialty. This will be achieved through working in partnership with lead clinicians, managers and matrons. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in large healthcare organisations and has an interest within spinal injuries.
