Our client, a leading private practice and cost consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the North West. With a diverse range of projects valued between £50k and £200 million, they deliver high-quality services across various sectors of the construction industry.
About the Role:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take the lead in cost management, procurement, and contract administration for large-scale projects. You will ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget, while also mentoring junior staff and supporting senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee cost management from project inception to completion
2. Lead procurement, tendering, and contract administration processes
3. Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
4. Provide strategic advice on risk management and cost control measures
5. Mentor and develop junior Quantity Surveyors
6. Ensure projects meet client expectations and are delivered on time and within budget
About You:
1. A degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
2. Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a proven track record in managing large-scale projects
3. Strong expertise in cost management, procurement, and contract administration
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
5. A proactive, client-focused approach with great attention to detail
