Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and reliable Dispatcher to join the team. The Dispatcher will serve as the communication hub for operations, coordinating the scheduling and dispatching of drivers, vehicles, and equipment to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and schedule the dispatch of drivers, vehicles, and equipment based on customer requests and operational needs.
* Monitor and track the progress of deliveries, providing real-time updates to customers and resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
* Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including driver assignments, delivery times, and customer interactions.
* Collaborate with drivers and other team members to optimize routes and maximize efficiency.
* Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
* Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of drivers, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications:
* A minimum of 2 years of experience in a dispatching or logistics role.
* Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in using dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.
* Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
* Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
