Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with both power and hand tools. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Training is provided for the right candidates; if you don't have a long history of working on engines or are just starting, we are willing to train as long as you have a passion for fixing cars and learning new things.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
* Utilise diagnostic equipment to assess vehicle performance and troubleshoot problems.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
* Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools and power tools as required.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed on each vehicle.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
* Collaborate with team members to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
* Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
* Proficiency in using both power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade.
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and customers.
* Own tools preferred.
