This role is for Adult and Children Student Nurses and Medical Students

In order to undertake this role you must have:
* You must be a second-year student nurse or a third-year medical student and have completed your first placement in your second year as a nursing student or your first placement within your third year as a medical student, unless you have previous healthcare support experience. Any other student must have previous healthcare experience.
* You must be able to work a minimum of 2 shifts in a rolling 3-month period and remain compliant with all essential training to remain in post.
You will not be shortlisted if you do not meet the above criteria.
Please note you will be expected to do 5 days of induction within a week period Monday to Friday. All days have to be attended consecutively. There are no exceptions.

Main duties of the job
As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play an essential role in supporting the delivery of the highest standard of quality care to our patients, working alongside registered nurses and other healthcare professionals. Your role will include a wide range of tasks, from providing personal and intimate care to undertaking clinical observations.
A Healthcare Support Worker will be competent to provide compassionate care to agreed quality standards. You will be required to follow stringent policies such as infection control and manual handling policies and keep your clinical and non-clinical colleagues informed of outcomes.
In addition, you will be providing emotional and practical support to patients and their families. You will require an adaptable and flexible approach to enable you to adapt to situations that change quickly.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
At UHBW we are currently recruiting for Experienced Bank Healthcare Support Workers to join our trust.
We ask that you have at least 6 months experience working within a healthcare setting within the last 12 months. If you meet the essential criteria, your application will be shortlisted and you will be invited for an interview. If successful, you will be employed on a zero-hour contract and on occasions you will be required to work between our Bristol and Weston sites.
