Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead our large-scale BESS projects from pre-RTB to Commercial Operation Date (COD). This is an exceptional opportunity for a self-starter who can work autonomously, lead project people, and influence stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Delivery Management:
* The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing large-scale BESS projects from pre-RTB through to COD.
* They will drive project execution, ensuring all aspects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Developing detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress against milestones and adjusting as necessary will be key to their role.
2. Project Integration and De-Risking:
* The chosen individual will oversee the integration of BESS technology into existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and compliance with technical specifications.
* They will identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing strategies to de-risk the project.
* Closely working with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to address technical challenges and optimize project execution will be essential.
3. Stakeholder Management and Influence:
* The selected candidate will act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including investors, partners, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
* Influencing and leading stakeholders without direct reporting authority, ensuring alignment and collaboration towards project goals will be crucial.
* Negotiating and managing contracts with vendors, suppliers, and contractors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions will also be part of their responsibilities.
4. Economic Analysis and Financial Oversight:
* Overseeing economic analyses of the projects, including financial modeling and cost-benefit assessments will be key to this role.
* Monitoring project budgets, forecasting expenditures, and managing financial performance to meet or exceed financial targets will be vital.
* Providing regular financial and progress reports to senior management and stakeholders will be expected.
5. Leadership and Collaboration:
* The ideal candidate will lead project teams by example, working closely with all partners to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to project delivery.
* Fostering a culture of teamwork and shared success, motivating all parties to contribute to the successful delivery of the projects will be essential.
* Driving projects forward with determination, pulling them from the horns to overcome challenges and achieve project milestones will be crucial.
