Apprentice Building Services Engineer

We're looking for an Apprentice Building Services Engineer to support ISS and the site facilities team in making the our Campus a leading workplace environment for the client.
You will be an integral part of the Engineering team to deliver first in class Engineering services across multiple skill disciplines in line with policy and governance set out by the client and ISS.
This is an apprentice position, so the role will include the learnings and college time as required to obtain qualified status within a 4 year period.
Job Description
The Apprentice Engineer will aid in the protection of our client operations and establish the Glasgow Campus as a leading workplace environment through the role as Shift Technician within the Engineering Team.
In this role, you will ensure all equipment and systems on site are kept in line with statutory compliance and satisfactory operational condition through regular maintenance, repairing, managing and reporting issues as necessary to maintain resilience and availability of engineering assets supporting client and staff facilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Work in partnership with the campus facilities team in delivering for the client a best in class workplace environment
* Carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated systems
* Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements and ISS Safe systems of work SSOW
* Ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain accurate records and update documentation as directed
* Respond in a prompt and effective manner to all Engineering related reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests
* Coordinate initial actions associated with all requests from the client
* Coordinate and manage visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with scheduled PPM or reactive call out
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
* Be driven and willing to learn the skills required to be fully qualified tradeperson
* Have good written, IT and verbal communication skills
