OneHealth is looking for a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Consultant with asub-speciality in Hip and Knee to support and grow the One Health GroupOrthopaedic Team.
Thesuccessful candidate will have experience working within a similar role in aprivate or NHS setting. You should have a professional outlook, empathetictelephone manner and understand the importance of patient confidentiality.
1. You should currentlybe in a substantive NHS post OR in a long-term locum post (more than 12 months)
2. If not in current NHSpost, should have been a substantive NHS consultant for at least 3 years beforeleaving the NHS
3. On GMC register andhave no hearings or restrictions
4. Should have relevantsub specialist qualifications (FRCS {orth})
5. Be on the specialistregister
Main duties of the job
This role will involve assessing andoperating on NHS patients referred to One Health, via the NHS e-ReferralSystem. Appointments will be held across a number of outreach clinic sites,with a specific focus on Brigg, Hull and Lincolnshire. Operations will takeplace within a range of independent sector hospitals, the Consultant must thereforebe prepared to travel.

The role will involve assessing and operatingon NHS patients referred to One Health via the NHS e-Referral System. Allsurgeons who work with One Health will be subject to our onboarding process andapproval from our Clinical Governance Lead. Practicing Privileges will berequired to be obtained for each hospital where procedures are undertaken.
Thework will be undertaken across Brigg, Hull andLincolnshire, theConsultant must therefore be prepared to travel.
