The Payroll Manager will manage and oversee the payroll functions across the EMEA & APAC regions, ensuring compliance with policies and local legislation. Will review and approve the monthly payrolls ensuring pay is processed accurately and on time. Reports to Head of HR, EMEA and APAC. Provide payroll input as needed to the UK payroll to ensure we meet deadlines. Responsibilities: Review, audits and approves monthly payrolls across EMEA & APAC regions, with exception of UK payroll. Collaborating with Finance and the Human Resources team on reconciliations and reporting where necessary. Provide data from our payroll systems as requested. Leads, directs, evaluates, and develops the team of payroll professionals to ensure payroll processing deadlines are met with accuracy. Maintaining payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures in conjunction with the team. Keep up to date and maintain compliance with legislation such as working hours, minimum wage and general payroll regulations across EMEA & APAC. Ensure we receive timely updates from our providers. Manages audit requests from internal and external auditors. Liaise with KPMG on expat tax issues in conjunction with Global Mobility. Liaise with Payroll provider account management and identify areas for improvement, such as process improvement or automation. May perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned, including transfer of payrolls to alternative providers. The payroll manager will lead our efforts to ensure our payroll transformation across the region is compliant and implemented to schedule. Requirements: Degree level or relevant qualification and/or equivalent experience 5 years or more of payroll experience including statutory payments, benefits in kind and end of year reporting Extensive experience in using Excel is essential Previous work experience in UK or Ireland required Skills/Competencies: Extensive payroll experience should include payroll reconciliations, experience of international payrolls, expatriate tax allowances such as “non dom” or SARP (Ireland) Keen interest in automation and process improvement Familiarity with stock grants and options Attention to detail – accuracy is a key skill Written and verbal communication skills – able to express sometimes complex ideas in a simple way; able to write policy documents Numerate – demonstrable ability with figures, exchange rates etc Intermediate to advanced excel would be preferred Ability to analyse faults in process and manage out processes to successful completion Ability to work under tight deadlines. Flexible – can manage conflicting workloads Team player – can work well with the HRBPs.
