FUNCTION:
The HSEQ Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) strategies across all project operations. The role involves ensuring full compliance with the company Integrated Management System (DMS) requirements, statutory regulations, company policies, and client requirements, while embedding a culture of safety and quality throughout the organisation.
The HSEQ Manager provides strategic direction, supervises HSEQ Advisors, and works collaboratively with site teams to achieve and maintain the highest standards in HSEQ performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Health and Safety:
* Develop and implement HSEQ strategies in alignment with Company policies and project requirements.
* Ensure compliance with the Company's Integrated Management System (DMS), health and safety legislation, and client-specific standards.
* Plan and oversee risk assessments, audits, and inspections across projects to effectively identify and mitigate risks.
* Monitor and review safety performance, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.
* Provide leadership and guidance to HSEQ Advisors and site teams, promoting health and safety best practices.
* Accurately report and document health and safety performance, ensuring KPI targets are consistently met.
Environmental:
* Lead initiatives to minimise the environmental impact of projects, ensuring strict adherence to environmental legislation.
* Develop and monitor sustainability goals, focusing on waste management, resource efficiency, and environmental improvement opportunities.
* Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of environmental performance, supporting compliance and continuous improvement.
Quality:
* Oversee the development and implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and inspection Hold points to ensure project quality standards.
* Conduct and lead quality audits, addressing non-conformance issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with quality management systems and client specifications throughout all projects.
Training and Development:
* Identify and coordinate HSEQ training needs for employees to maintain a competent and informed workforce.
* Ensure all new employees complete the DU/DIS Online PowerPlus Induction and implement a comprehensive local induction programme to ensure compliance with Company and client HSEQ standards.
Reporting and Documentation:
* Analyse and report on HSEQ performance metrics to senior management and clients, ensuring achievement of established KPI targets.
* Maintain accurate and accessible HSEQ documentation, ensuring compliance with Company and regulatory requirements.
* Support and lead incident investigations, ensuring lessons learned are implemented and communicated across projects to prevent recurrence.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
The HSEQ Manager reports directly to the Project Director and is responsible for leading the HSEQ function across all projects, providing direction to HSEQ Advisors and collaborating with site teams to uphold safety, environmental, and quality standards.
PROFILE:
The HSEQ Manager should have extensive experience in a senior HSEQ role and be proficient in statutory regulations, industry best practices, and management systems. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills are essential. Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent, and experience in managing teams are required.
