Job Title: Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Rate: Up to £36 per hour
An exciting role has become available at the Birmingham City Council for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to deliver exceptional occupational therapy services to children, enhancing their independence and overall quality of life.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will perform detailed assessments of children with diverse needs, create and implement personalized treatment plans, and offer therapeutic interventions to support developmental progress and independence. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, educators, and families to provide comprehensive care, and provide guidance and support to children and their families. You will be managing a varied caseload and prioritizing effectively are key aspects of your role. You will participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and case reviews, keep abreast of the latest practices and advancements in paediatric occupational therapy, and maintain thorough and timely records in line with professional standards.

Qualifications and Experiences:
To excel in this role, you will need a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC). Experience in paediatric occupational therapy is essential, along with strong assessment and treatment planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are crucial, as is the capability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team (MDT). You will also need a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle, and a willingness to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
