About the Role
We are seeking a Business Development & Bid Manager to take ownership of the bid process, from identifying opportunities to submitting high-quality tenders. You will be responsible for leading a team of Bid Coordinators, ensuring timely and successful PQQ and tender submissions, and driving business growth through strategic bid management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the planning, writing, and coordination of bids and tenders to ensure high-quality submissions.
* Manage and support a team of Bid Coordinators, allocating workloads and guiding them through the bid process.
* Monitor and track new business opportunities, ensuring a proactive approach to tendering.
* Maintain and update a library of company standard tender documentation and model answers.
* Develop strong internal and external relationships to enhance the quality of bid submissions.
* Ensure bid responses are clear, accurate, and aligned with client requirements.
* Work closely with marketing, social media, and CSR teams to support business development initiatives.
* Use Adobe InDesign and other creative tools to produce high-quality bid documents and presentations.
* Research and analyse market trends to improve the quality of bid submissions.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in bid writing, tender management, or business development.
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
* Excellent writing and editing abilities with a keen eye for detail.
* Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign preferred) and PowerPoint.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
* Strong research and analytical skills to enhance bid quality.
* A proactive mindset with a passion for winning business.
