Norse Group are perfectly positioned to engage with a wide client base on development projects and innovative schemes, time and time again, working as a strategic partner with Devon County Council.
Your new role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Surveyor to join the team at Southwest Norse, ideally on a full-time, permanent basis. You will take responsibility for adding value to client assets by identifying and securing planning consents for development across the Southwest. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Identifying, promoting, and delivering the development potential of surplus and potentially surplus assets and adding significant value before assets are sold in order to generate much needed capital receipts.
2. You will undertake a hands-on role, leading public consultations, drafting planning applications, producing feasibility reports and viability appraisals, representing clients and planningmittees, and negotiating S106 agreements.
About you: If you are ambitious by nature,mercially minded, and passionate about making a tangible difference to the environment in the Southwest, then this could be a fantastic opportunity for you. In order to progress to interview stage, you’ll need to satisfy the below criteria:
3. Professional membership of RICS and a degree in real estate or a similar subject.
4. Experience within planning and development surveying in a role which has included production of viability appraisals.
5. Knowledge of relevant planning legislation.
6. Full UK driving licence allowing you to meet the travel requirements for the role.
