About the role
Co-responsible for all Product & Merchandising activities within the Hydro Flask and OXO Brands across all channels of distribution, with support and guidance from direct manager.
Conducts and submits relevant data, insights and management reports to help capture the EMEA consumer and market needs and support the Product & Merchandising Director in making strategic investment proposals.
Builds the EMEA seasonal product assortment for HF and OXO across all distribution channels with Manager.
Manages the HF & OXO product portfolios to maximize revenues, ensure sustainable growth and optimize product efficiency to agreed KPI's. This includes understanding of Product lifecycle management.
Works closely with direct manager, sales, sales operations, and demand planning to ensure forecasting and pricing meet the needs of each channel of distribution.
Works closely with cross-functional teams at Osprey Europe in Poole U.K. and the Helen of Troy Regional Market Office in Lausanne, Switzerland, in particular sales, marketing, demand/supply planning and finance.
What you’ll do in the role
Adoption of the Seasonal Line and Product & Merchandising Process (including calendar/seasonal roadmap)
* Responsible with Manager for the adoption of seasonal line-plan for Hydro Flask and OXO in EMEA.
* Communicates in a timely manner to the Global Product Creation Teams (Hydro Flask and OXO) during the seasonal Product and Merchandising Process.
* Co-responsible for the delivering of product assortment and distribution matrix to fuel growth.
* Liaise with Global Product Management Teams, as well as e.com, Creative, Marketing and Sales Teams acquiring and broadcasting information throughout the process of concept creation, to product development and through to GTM.
* Contributes to seasonal pricing strategy of Hydro Flask and OXO assortments and targeted Gross Pricing Margin (GPM%).
* Prepares and participate in seasonal tear-downs alongside direct line manager, Commercial, marketing and GTM Teams from a product perspective.
* Analyses Hydro Flask and OXO Product line effectiveness at a SKU level to support with informed business & efficiency improvement decisions.
* Works with Marketing team on creative concepts building product alignment.
* Works on product launches.
* Keeps up to date with competitor products and placement within the market.
* Assembles product requirements and research data into an effective product brief.
* Understands the core consumers for the product range and why they gravitate to HF and Hydro Flask products.
* Identify and report upon trends
* Gains understanding of the Brand competitive landscape; market channels & tiers; product architecture and SRP price brackets; the seasonal retail cadence in e.com and B&M.
* Presents the seasonal line to Sales and Marketing etc. at Sales Meetings
* Leads internal Product Training
* Assist in Product preview/pre lines with key retailers during early seasonal presentations.
* Attend trade shows, customer meetings / in-store clinics, sales meetings and product meetings to deliver product presentations either alone or in support of Sales Managers.
* Learns to use past sales performance along with market data and product/consumer knowledge to create product sales forecasts.
Product & Merchandising Data Integrity and Reporting:
* Working with manager, Sales, DP & Sourcing, Marketing and e.com to identify data needs.
* Maintain and update product records in Magento, SVOTT and any other relevant systems.
* Communicate with GTM and Global Product Management to ensure data is accurately represented for EMEA.
* Liaise with the Customer Service, Creative, Sales and Marketing teams regarding product specification and labelling needs as required.
Workbook, Website and other Marketing Materials:
* Coordination with relevant stakeholders on the creation of Workbook, website any other marketing material as needed.
* Assist in product copy/content for workbook, website and other published materials.
* Assist in providing content for the Marketing and Web team for various social media platforms including DTC website.
What will help you do the job well
Essential:
* University degree in Business, Marketing or other related field with a first Branded Product or Merchandising experience preferably within the sports/outdoor or consumer goods industries.
* Experience of working with premium Brands which sell across multiple channels of distribution including e.com a plus
* Exposure to the EMEA region and familiarity with diverse markets and cultures is beneficial.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written), French a plus.
