What you'll be doing The Senior Claims Handler will be responsible for handling the larger and more complex Direct Line for Business and Churchill for Business property claims up to a value of £100,000. The duties also include supporting the Team Leader in managing the team and developing technical capability. Triage of new technical and/or large Property claims End to end claims handling of retained technical claims Identify potential fraudulent claims Investigate, negotiate indemnity and liability & identify potential recovery opportunities Contribute to the development of claims handling strategy Support technical development through case clinic activity, auditing, and dissemination of technical/legal knowledge and developments Robust control of Indemnity Spend and reserving Manage Customer and Third Party expectations throughout the lifecycle of the claim Adhere to regulatory timescales and guidelines Technical mentor / referral point for policy and capability development Personal development to ensure retention of area as a centre of excellence Keeping the customer experience at the heart of everything we do, ensuring adherence at all times to Consumer Duty principles Successful achievement of all business targets as set out within Departmental measures What we're looking for Previous Claims Handling experience within Commercial is necessary Knowledge of Fraud and Investigation Understanding of Insurance Principles and Practice Excellent stakeholder management skills Experience mentoring others This is a hybrid role with t wo working days a week from our Glasgow office.
