Business Development Manager - energy flexibility
Lewis Davey is working with a leading provider of demand response, energy procurement and energy management solutions, that has an immediate need for a remote based Business Development Manager to join their regional sales organization with a specific focus on demand–side flexibility solutions.
The Business Development Manager will be the go–to expert, driving the growth of flexible energy solutions with both existing and new partners, as well as high–energy–demand businesses. As a key player on the regional sales team, reporting to the Head of B2B Sales, this role demands a confident, self–motivated professional ready to engage with C–level leaders, proactively generate leads, and close deals. Success in this fast–paced environment hinges on understanding customer needs and navigating complex sales processes to deliver impactful energy solutions. Proven experience in prospecting and winning business is essential.
Prospecting and winning new business in energy intensive businesses in GB, market and target strategies, sales, proposals and negotiation are all key responsibilities for this BDM opportunity in flexible energy solutions.
Qualification required:
7+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in data centres or with battery storage developers.
Experience selling distributed energy solutions (CHP, Battery Storage, Solar PV, etc.).
Proven success exceeding sales quotas in energy solutions or management for commercial and industrial clients.
Strong hunter mentality with lead generation skills and ability to build a business pipeline.
Skilled in presenting data–driven value propositions to C–level executives, facilities managers, and engineers.
Self–motivated team player with the ability to deliver technical solutions and adapt to a dynamic sales cycle.
