Senior Data Analyst
What would I be doing?
As a Senior Analyst, you will lead projects utilizing e-commerce marketing and customer data to identify efficiency and growth opportunities within the businesses of our Partners. This role directly impacts their commercial decisions and enhances the shopping experience for hundreds of thousands of end customers around the world. You will also help drive profitability while continuously improving the services we deliver. Your insights will contribute to the long-term goal of changing the way the world shops.
1. Leading investigations to understand trends and patterns in our partners' customer performance and presenting the findings back to partners.
2. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to identify trends and opportunities that drive growth for our Partners, including leveraging e-commerce features and identifying areas for improvement by enhancing customer acquisition, average order frequency (AOF), average order value (AOV), and reducing customer churn.
3. Collaborating with partners to ensure effective utilization of customer data for marketing and e-commerce reporting, including LTV metrics and cohort reporting.
4. Quantifying incremental uplift of our partners' marketing campaigns and presenting findings.
5. Partnering with Solutions and Technology to identify and close gaps in data feeds and e-commerce data layer.
6. Assisting our Partners' worldwide e-commerce operations by providing valuable insights and recommendations, developing informative visualization dashboards using LookerML, conducting ad-hoc analysis, and conducting business reviews.
7. Problem-solving as our department and business grow rapidly, tackling new challenges and insights.
8. Creating data to represent our clients' objectives and interests to other functions (e.g., Product Continuous Improvement).
9. Project Management and Support: Whether it is your own idea or a project managed by another department, you will support different projects across the business.
What We Would Like To See:
1. Extensive experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, VBA/AppScript, Data Studio/Tableau/Looker).
2. Leading projects within the marketing sector, demonstrating a solid grasp of customer lifetime metrics, RFM segments, and performance marketing tools.
3. Ability to quantify incremental uplift of our partners' marketing campaigns.
4. Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical senior management and key stakeholders.
5. Accomplished analyst with experience analyzing and manipulating large data sets, ideally with 4 or more years of analytical experience.
6. Python and Google Colab experience would be beneficial to the role but not essential.
7. 2.1 degree in a STEM subject or equivalent work experience in a quantitative role.
8. Comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical senior management and key stakeholders.
9. Analytical thinker who can break down complex problems.
10. Able to use data to create compelling stories and achieve positive outcomes.
11. Tenacity to follow ideas and problems through to resolution.
12. Experience adapting to a fast-changing environment.
13. Willingness to travel internationally to meet with our Partners.
