SENIOR ACCOUNTANT OPPORTUNITY!
Our client is a market leading construction company based in Suffolk who specialise in the formulation and production of construction materials. Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage and oversee all finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, manage the budget and financial forecasting, and provide support for both administrative and HR functions on-site.
WHATS IN IT FOR YOU?
What will you be earning? The rate of pay for this position is GBP40k-45k based on relevant experience.
Contract type: PERMANENT POSITION
Hours of work: Monday to Friday - working 8 hours per day.
Additional benefits: 4% Pension contributory scheme, 20 days holiday, 5 additional holidays for festive period, and all bank holidays as paid leave, incentive scheme, private medical insurance & healthcare plan.
CLIENT DETAILS
Our client has been a market leading business for over 90 years within their trade and has offices in over 20 countries worldwide. They require a Senior Accountant to manage and process all finance and accounting operations (including Billing, Revenue Recognition, incoming and outgoing payments, payroll and accounts payable).
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE?
1. Manage and process all finance and accounting operations (including Billing, Revenue Recognition, incoming and outgoing payments, payroll and accounts payable).
2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
4. Prepare month-end and year-end close process.
5. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
6. Manage and comply with local government reporting requirements.
7. Compliance with the group business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls.
8. Maintain the debtors ledger to ensure that all balances are correct and reconciled with customers' statements. Monitor outstanding invoices and ensure that they are paid on due date. Consult sales staff to ensure that any disputes about deliveries and payments are resolved.
9. Manage all Tax responsibilities including filing & settlements.
10. Work with external auditors and provide needed information for the annual audit.
11. Provide admin & HR leadership support on-site including policy and people.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or Finance) or a relevant professional qualification.
2. 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
3. Good experience in use of Excel and Microsoft Office.
4. Knowledge of Financial Reporting.
5. Strong organizational and time management skills.
6. Experience in accounting software SAP B1 is a plus.
