Addison Project plc is recruiting for a Business Development Manager to support our Business Development Director in the North East. This is an exciting new opportunity to join our successful business development team.

The Role
As a Business Development Manager with Addison Project Plc, you will have variety within your workload from day one. You will work with the wider Business Development Team and Middlesbrough Office Management team to support new and existing clients, sharing Addison Project's multidisciplinary design engineering and wider EPCM capabilities.
1. Develop and execute a business development strategy to expand Addison Project's current client base in the North East.
2. Identify and establish relationships with new clients in key industries, aligning with the company's service offerings.
3. Demonstrate Addison Project's capabilities in design engineering, project management and construction to new and existing clients.
4. Manage the sales process from initial contact through contract negotiation and closure.
5. Represent Addison Project during networking opportunities, new/existing client visits and seminars.
6. Maintain and update a sales pipeline using our CRM system.
7. Compile bid, tender and presentation documentation.
Person Specification
Our projects vary but are generally focused within the UK onshore process sector - chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, oil & gas and food and beverage. It is therefore essential you have experience working in this sector in either a business development, sales or account management capacity in the North East of England.
1. Proven experience in business development, sales or account management in the north east engineering, chemical, gas or other related industries.
2. Strong understanding of design engineering services, including project management, lifecycle support and construction is desirable.
3. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
4. Client relationships are key to this role, as such you must be able to demonstrate your key contacts in the North East and understanding of the process sector and local market knowledge.
5. Results driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
6. Able to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.
7. Experience using CRM software or similar sales tools.
8. Able and willing to advise clients on best practice and improvements.
