As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be working alongside pupils with SEMH & complex behavioural needs who require some additional guidance from a positive and assertive role model! You will support their everyday routine and keep them engaged and motivated to learn in the classroom.
This is an ideal position for a Psychology/Criminology graduate who is seeking first-hand experience before pursuing a career as a Prison Liaison Officer, Therapist, Counsellor, Youth Mentor etc.
What will I be doing in the role?
1. Supporting children with a range of SEN & SEMH to keep them engaged in the classroom
2. Encourage the development of the students' social skills
3. Work within the classroom and in smaller groups to accommodate needs
4. Support and comply with the school's safeguarding procedures
What do I need for this role?
5. A 2:1 or a First-class degree from a reputable University
6. Genuine interest working with SEN and Mental Health
7. Excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt
8. Experience in a previous role, or personal experience in SEN is desirable
9. Calm and compassionate nature
Time: Monday to Friday - 08:30 – 3:30pm.
