An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitable candidate to join the Physiotherapy team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital as an Apprentice Physiotherapist. The post holder will combine on-the-job working and learning as a Senior Therapy Support Worker (Afc Band 3) with academic learning through an accredited Physiotherapy BSc (Hons) qualification provided by Sheffield Hallam University.
Working in the capacity of their Senior Therapy Support Worker role, the Apprentice Physiotherapist will be contracted to 30 hours per week. There will be occasions where the apprenticeship will require attendance at university, clinical placements, and shadowing (in addition to these paid hours) in the post holder’s own time. As with all undergraduate courses, the Apprentice Physiotherapist would also be expected to complete self-directed study in their own time to support their learning requirements.
Upon completion of the apprenticeship, the post holder will receive a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree from Sheffield Hallam University. The successful candidate will continue in their role as a Senior Support Worker and would be invited to apply for a Rotational Band 5 Physiotherapist post at Chesterfield Royal Hospital should one become available.
