Salary: Between £60,000 - £70,000 per annum (depending on experience)
The team
* You will be part of Finance, Risk and Compliance team which is one of the key support services of our organisation. The team deals with all aspects of financial operations and supporting the business in risk and compliance matters, contract reviews and sustainable and value for money procurement, including compliance with public sector procurement.

The role
* As the Senior Risk Compliance and Contract Manager, you will lead our risk, compliance, contracts and procurement team, working alongside the Group Finance Director to drive the development and implementation of a robust risk and compliance strategy.
* You will be a key player in embedding, rationalizing, and enhancing our risk management, reporting, compliance, and procurement framework across the organization.
* This newly created role is essential to ensure all activities at Energy Saving Trust are compliant, risks are well managed, and the organisation's operations and contractual engagements support our mission sustainably and effectively.
What you’ll do
* Leadership & Management: Oversee and develop a team of professionals across risk, compliance, contracts, and procurement, fostering a cross-departmental approach to risk management and compliance, creating and maintaining internal controls and processes that are well-integrated and fit for purpose.
* Framework Development: Design, embed, and enhance the organisation-wide risk management, reporting, and compliance framework in partnership with internal stakeholders. Embed best practice in procurement, including compliance with public sector procurement.
* Compliance & Regulatory Alignment: Manage compliance policies, systems, and controls, and oversee adherence to regulatory requirements. Provide guidance on compliance, risk, and contract-related matters, including data protection, internal audits, and procurement.
* Risk Strategy & Reporting: Own and develop the strategic risk register, ensuring accurate, timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including the Board, FCA, and other regulatory bodies.
* Advisory: Support bid and project delivery teams, ensuring commercial risk assessments are well-balanced and legal agreements reflect organisational interests and sustainability goals.
What you’ll bring
* Proven experience in designing and implementing organisation-wide risk management and compliance frameworks, managing stakeholder relationships across all levels and reporting to internal and external regulatory bodies.
* Strong understanding of risk, process, and controls with a commercial mindset to craft solutions for diverse projects.
* Experience in managing and reviewing contracts and agreements, working with external legal advisors.
* Skilled in sustainable procurement practices, with a commitment to embedding sustainability in organisational strategy.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaged workplace.
