We are seeking a passionate, experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our client as their Clinical Lead. This is a foundational leadership role in a new service, offering the chance to shape and grow something meaningful from day one. You will lead on clinical oversight, risk management, and governance across all client packages, and play a key role in CQC registration and service mobilisation. Key Responsibilities Clinical Governance & Oversight • Provide clinical leadership across all packages of care • Lead on risk assessments, crisis plans, PBS strategies and behaviour management plans • Develop and maintain personalised, outcome-focused care plans • Monitor medication administration and compliance with NICE/MHRA guidelines • Oversee clinical incidents, safeguarding concerns, and care escalations Regulatory Compliance & Quality • Support the company’s CQC registration and act as the clinical lead during inspections and audits • Maintain accurate, legally compliant care records via OneTouch system • Implement and monitor clinical policies and procedures in line with best practice and legislative frameworks Team Leadership & Training • Provide clinical supervision and reflective practice sessions for support staff • Deliver training on key clinical and behavioural areas (e.g. de-escalation, trauma- informed care) • Contribute to staff recruitment and onboarding, especially in complex packages Commissioner & Family Engagement • Attend MDTs, client reviews and commissioner meetings as clinical representative • Liaise with families, GPs, and community mental health teams • Support the transition of clients from inpatient/residential settings to the community Strategic Input • Work closely with senior leadership to shape the clinical delivery model • Identify service development opportunities and inform future MDT growth • Help define the scope for future Clinical Services Director post Requirements Essential • NMC-registered RMN (Mental Health Nurse) • Minimum 3 years’ post-registration experience • Experience supporting adults with complex mental health and neurodevelopmental needs (e.g. EUPD, Autism, ABI) • Experience working in community settings or supported living • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, MCA, DoLS, risk management, and PBS • Ability to build care plans and lead on risk reduction • Confident leading MDTs and supervising care teams Desirable • Experience in service start-up or CQC registration • Training in trauma-informed care, DBT, PBS or forensic mental health • Previous experience in a Clinical Lead or Band 6/7 role
