A Bristol based Next Gen Avionics client have an OUTSIDE IR35 contract opportunity to support with the manufacturing and build of their next aircraft, the position involves;
Working on fixture design - can use solid works
Specifically holding assemblies and fixtures
Guiding products from the prototype stage to full-scale production (NPI).
Production work downstream
Product work instructions
Observer builds and document and communicate then chase resolutions of lessons learnt.
Examples of tasks include becoming more hands on with build process, and be the main point of contact for Manufacturing engineering in assembly of Beta;
This will involve the following;
Capture all the issues during each stage of the builds in BETA
Be present, support the builds, be involved / hands-on (where safety allows)
Capture issues in Excel sheet
Review these weekly review
Arrange fixes for issues if this is holding up builds
Build documentation
As part of the OK to build reviews make sure all documents are ready, we have seen issues with builds where instructions aren’t complete
Be the go to person / be the person who goes and gets engineers, or the correct person needed to look at issues, this includes but not limited to Walking upstairs to get someone, Find equipment / tools, Calling people on teams, Arranging time for engineers to be present,
Weekly report out on your work, plan for following week
Number of risks found, number of risk mitigated and how,
Support the wider ME team when requested.
