Job Description
Reporting to the Operations Manager he Buyer/Planner position will be based on the client site, developing Bills of Material, managing inventory availability, & sourcing parts. This role is very much focussed on MRO parts, identifying alternative / direct sources and driving cost reduction for the client.
You need to have a valid work permit for the UK for this role. There will be no sponsorship involved.
Inventory Management:
* Agree with the customer of the inventory levels which will be required
* Update catalog with the inventory levels
* Review the daily status of inventory at high risk for shortage and provide recovery plans
* Achieve inventory levels optimization by utilizing the internal network of buyers and planners to reduce excess inventory per need.
* Resolution of any issue with stocked (warehoused) material
* Disposition and removal of inventory with low consumption, as required by the customer
Purchasing:
* Developing Bills of Material
* Identifying direct and alternative source for parts.
* Tracking cost savings
* Managing all import/export documentation
* Purchasing decision making and PO placement
* On-time delivery management
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications
* Business degree or equivalent.
* 3-5 years experience in a large scale manufacturing environment - pharmaceutical experience would be a plus.
* Strong Excel skillset
* An analytic approach to work and strong attention to detail
* Strong communication skills (both written & oral)
* Data analytics skills
* Ability to partner and communicate effectively with the internal team, customers, and suppliers
