We are partnering with a reputable and successful firm of accountants, business services and tax experts to recruit within their busy personal tax team for a Personal Tax Senior. This firm prides itself on the exceptional work they provide for their loyal client base and, as such, is expanding the private tax team.
Your new role
Your new role as Personal Tax Senior will be to effectively manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, building strong and positive working relationships with them and your colleagues to offer them an outstanding level of service. You will liaise with clients to provide appropriate information in a timely manner and plan, prepare and execute clients' personal tax returns within deadlines. You will ensure tax liability is correctly calculated and communicated to the client and be responsible for the completion of P11D forms to submit to HMRC. You will then continue to liaise with HMRC and other third parties where appropriate. You will keep up to date with relevant tax legislation and laws. You will review work by the trainees and more junior colleagues in the team.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role as the Personal Tax Senior, you will ideally have previous experience in a similar role within an accounting practice, dealing with all aspects of personal tax and be able to work on your own initiative and be part of a collaborative team. You will be highly organised and be able to work under pressure and to deadlines during certain times of the year. Ideally, you will be ACA, CTA or ATT qualified or working towards a tax or accountancy qualification. The opportunity for further study is also available. You will be able to support colleagues and produce 'first time right' tax returns.
