We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Mobile Engineer Team Leader to join our Ministry of Justice (MoJ) account based in the North West of England. The role will involve travel across the region visiting various sites from HMPYOI Styal in Wilmslow up to HMP Haverigg in Cumbria.
The salary is competitive, with a company van and fuel card included in the package.

The Mobile Engineer Team Leader plays an important part of a mobile support team that will support prisons across the regions and fulfil the role of AP/RPs as required.
The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

You will be responsible for:
* Assist in and supervise the delivery of a range of facilities services to prisons in the region in line with contractual commitments. Compliance focused.
* Help to maintain standards at each prison as set out in the Service Level Agreement.
* Communicate problems and concerns promptly through line management ensuring quick resolution.
* Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
* Check and sign timesheets in accordance with procedures.
* Responsible for the management and authorisation of high/low-risk maintenance activity on the FM estate using the Amey Safety Rules as the Authorised/Responsible persons (AP/RP). Training will be provided.
* This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
What makes this role unique is you will work across the region, becoming the AP/RP in your role. The role of an AP/RP is to implement and manage works in accordance with the Amey Safety Rules for the respective disciplines as required by contractual, best practice and legislative duties. Prison Security Clearance will be required (Amey will support you through this process).
We want to hear from you if you have/are:
* Previous experience of working within the Facilities/Estate management arena.
* Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and compliance.
* Team management, working on own initiative, understand deadlines and priority.
* Management of engineers, dealing with customer and client.
Ideally you will have a background working as an Electrician, Plumber or Joiner with experience in Facilities Management.
In addition to this, you will require IT skills, be fully versant in your specialist trade and you might have worked as a Mobile AP before to help you hit the ground running, although this is not essential as we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.
