We are a domiciliary care business in Birmingham, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Outreach Coordinator. This role is pivotal to promoting our services within the local community and helping us reach more individuals who may benefit from our compassionate, high-quality care.
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in promoting our initiatives, engaging with the community, and fostering partnerships that align with our mission. This position requires strong leadership skills, project management abilities, and a commitment to public health education. The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for developing outreach strategies, managing social media platforms, and supervising outreach activities to ensure effective communication and engagement.
Distribute leaflets and marketing materials across the Birmingham area.
Build relationships with local businesses, community centres, GP surgeries, and other key contacts to increase awareness of our services.
Attend local events to represent the company and engage with potential clients and their families.
Provide regular reports and updates on outreach efforts to management.
Support the wider team in developing innovative ideas to grow our community presence.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement outreach strategies to educate the community about our programmes and services.
Manage social media accounts to enhance visibility and engagement with target audiences.
Supervise outreach staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful programme execution.
Coordinate fundraising efforts, including events and campaigns, to support organisational goals.
Collaborate with local organisations and stakeholders to build partnerships that further our mission.
Conduct presentations and workshops to educate the public on relevant health topics.
Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and prepare reports on programme effectiveness.
Assist in administrative tasks related to project management and outreach initiatives.
Experience
Proven experience in social media management, with a strong understanding of various platforms.
Demonstrated ability in supervising teams or volunteers effectively.
Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and evaluation of outreach programmes.
Background in fundraising activities is highly desirable.
Knowledge of public health principles is an advantage.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate others towards achieving common goals.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
Confidence in engaging with the public and local businesses.
