Senior Electronics Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our Christchurch, Dorset team!
Curtiss-Wright is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our growing group at our state-of-the-art facility by Bournemouth Airport. As an Electronics Engineer, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team, designing safety critical, real-time control systems which underpin our electric vehicle controllers. Reporting to an engineering manager, you will be a critical part of all stages of the development. You will demonstrate a high level of experience in the development of micro-based electronics designs, with a particular emphasis on power electronics in the range of 40 to 200 Amps at 24 Volts. Many of our designs are focused on persons in powered wheelchairs, so ensuring their safety is paramount in any design. You will be self-motivated, goal-driven, and a team player who can enthusiastically collaborate with and help develop other engineers.

Your Challenge:
* Design of complex motor control circuits, to include microprocessor selection, power electronics (FETs), PWM, thermal management, circuit design, and simulation.
* Use of test equipment to include multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, PSUs, etc.
* Creation of hardware design documentation.
* Tolerance analysis.
* PCB design using Altium.
* Design for EMC compliance.
Your Expertise:
5+ years of experience in electronics design including:
* Safety critical applications
* Power Electronics
* Circuit Protection
* EMC
* Microcontrollers
* Component Selection
* Tolerance analysis
Desirable Skills:
* Motor Control
* Thermal Management
* Circuit Simulation Using SPICE
* Designs of circuits to meet USB, CANBus, and Radio Directive regulatory requirements
