Job Purpose
The VSO (Vessel and Spoolbase Operations) Deputy Vessel Manager supports the VSO Vessel Manager in overseeing a fleet of similar type vessels. The primary objective is to ensure the delivery of safe, reliable and cost-effective assets that meet customer requirements and expectations. The role involves managing a multi-disciplined team to maintain vessel systems integrity, marine integrity, and operation efficiency, ensuring the successful delivery of assets to our internal and external stakeholders.
Job Description
* Provide information link between Project Management Team/Vessel Execution Stream and Offshore Management Team.
* Assess and manage risks related to all vessel operation and handling.
* Review operations, providing guidance where necessary.
* Assist project planners and develop schedules of work.
* Expertise checks and guidelines approvals.
* Provide onshore support to vessels and crew.
* Provide support to Vessel Manager as required.
* Identify risks to daily operations onboard and provide/support solutions.
* Progress and manage ongoing Capex projects.
* Identify and propose future Capex for industrialisation improvement.
* Prepare operations: asset readiness and logistics (personnel/equipment).
* Censure consolidation of lessons learnt.
* Ensure and provide support to standard operation procedures and guidance documentation for Vessel Execution Streams.
You are meant for this job if:
* Relevant engineering degree or Senior Marine Qualification (Unlimited Class 1 master or Class 1 Chief Engineer).
* Experience in managing teams.

* Ability to solve problems.
