Management Accountant - Manufacturing Sector Type: 12 month FTC Location: Bridgend Salary: >£40,000 About the Company: A leading and dynamic player within the manufacturing sector, committed to delivering high-quality products while driving operational excellence. With continued growth, the company is looking to strengthen its finance team with the addition of a skilled and experienced Management Accountant. Role Overview: As the Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in providing accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-making within a manufacturing environment. You will work closely with senior management, providing insights and analysis to drive profitability, cost efficiency, and overall financial performance. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts for the manufacturing division. Provide financial analysis to help optimise production costs and improve profitability. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to ensure financial targets are met. Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators (KPIs). Conduct cost analysis for products, production processes, and inventory management. Support the implementation and review of internal controls, processes, and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and financial improvements. Assist in financial reporting for audits and statutory requirements. Provide advice and support to non-financial departments on financial matters. Qualifications & Skills Required: ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent (or working towards). Proven experience in a similar management accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing sector. Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, product costing, and inventory management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (experience with ERP systems is an advantage). Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various teams. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
