About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Services Apprentice Level 3 within the Customer Services team. This is a fantastic chance to learn how to deliver high-quality customer experiences, build rapport, empathise and understand customer needs, and use appropriate communication skills to provide clear explanations when interacting with our customers over the phone, via email, or through digital channels such as webform, chat bot, web chat, or social media.
The successful candidate will gain practical on-the-job experience by delivering a range of customer services, including managing Mersey Tunnels TFLOW accounts and associated Direct Debits, processing concessionary travel passes and smart ticketing, and providing administrative support to the wider Customer Delivery Team in line with service area demands.
This role includes working towards a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification as a Customer Service Specialist, building a solid foundation for a future career in Customer Services.
This is an 18 month Fixed Term Apprenticeship.
About the person
Customer Service Experience:
* Previous experience in a customer service environment is desirable, demonstrating a strong customer focus and putting the customer at the heart of everything we do.
Knowledge and Technical Skills:
* An understanding of GDPR and data protection law is essential.
* Experience of telephone call handling and social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, or X is desirable.
* The applicant should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Personal Attributes:
* Honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
* Adaptable and flexible, able to switch between work tasks and work locations efficiently.
* Ability to build strong connections with colleagues, while displaying respect and courtesy.
* Professional and sensitive when dealing with customers, maintaining a patient, friendly, and helpful manner at all times.
Communication and Teamwork:
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this post.
* The ability to work effectively within a team, contributing positively to team goals and dynamics.
