C.S Ellis Logistics Ltd is a well-established, family-run logistics company that is looking for an experienced LGV Technician to join their team and maintain the roadworthiness of their fleet. This role will involve working in a busy workshop environment that handles various types of vehicles and trailers, a mixture of own fleet assets and third party. Workload consists of regular PMI’s & servicing, diagnostics, routine repairs, welding, fabrication & tyre management, within reason there isn’t much we won’t do. Key Responsibilities: Maintain high standards of workmanship and competence in vehicle and trailer servicing, repairs, and maintenance to DVSA standards. High standards of work and focus on roadworthiness best practise is required in all aspects of the job. Perform preventive maintenance checks and troubleshoot electrical, EBS, and ABS systems. Foster professional communication and relationships both internally and with external contacts. Carry out various levels of diagnostics using one of three of our diagnostic machines, TEXA, AUTEL & DAVIE. The technician should be flexible with working hours, although this role will be either fixed days or fixed late shift, with overtime expected as and when the work demands. Dayshift Monday – Friday 6:00 -15:00 Late shift Monday – Thursday 14:00 – 1:00 Required Qualifications & Skills: NVQ Level 3 LGV Mechanic qualification (or equivalent time-served experience). A valid LGV licence (C or CE) would be looked upon as an advantage although not essential. Proficiency in diagnostics within all systems. Strong electrical fault-finding skills. Ability to deliver high-quality work without the need for follow-up. Adaptability and flexibility in work patterns. Professional communication skills and approach.
