What you will do: Management of an Innovation Lab to test new technologies and solutions - Scout and learn about new technologies - Execution of assigned proof of concepts (on site or lead in another location) - Organise demos and testing events Develop an Innovation Culture via communication & engagement - Organize and issue to the Community continuous updates about innovation initiatives - Promote a two-way communication process around continuous improvement and innovative ideas - Gain experience on challenges and opportunities through attendance of departmental meetings (Tier meeting, CI team meetings) Develop an Innovation Culture through knowledge transfer to the manufacturing community - Rationalise and make available lessons learnt and knowledge - Facilitate knowledge transfer to the manufacturing community via training and other contents shared via available platforms and areas Collaboration with plants on new implementations - Connect with continuous improvement leaders in the sites as well as with New Product Introduction - Support Pilots and Go Lives Centre of Excellence growth and management - Ensure up to date technical knowledge in the assigned field to act as a subject matter expert - Maintain good knowledge of all the innovational telematic areas to act as a consultant/point of contact - Local innovation lab management Manage the Continuous Improvement funnel - Analyse local improvement activities and promote the most interesting initiatives to the global funnel What you will need: - BS Degree in an Engineering Discipline with 3 years of work experience in the forklift or mobile equipment industry (Operations Innovation Engineer I : SG20) - BS Degree in an Engineering Discipline with 5 years of work experience in the forklift or mobile equipment industry (Operations Innovation Engineer II : SG21) - Broad knowledge of forklift design and forklift systems - Global product awareness/knowledge and an understanding of the geographic needs for various product lines - Engineering competency in design and test processes that yield innovative products - Experience in driving innovation processes - Good working knowledge/experience of automation Skills, Experience & Abilities - Good communication and presentation skills - Basic Project Management skills: 3 years of project management experience in the industry involving new product development (Operations Innovation Engineer I : SG20) or 5 years of project management experience in the industry (Operations Innovation Engineer II : SG21) - Exposure to planning and managing multiple parallel development projects involving diverse participants in a multi-disciplined matrix team environment - Knowledge/experience of robotics desirable.
