WeDoData are working exclusively with a secondary school & sixth form in West London who have been rated as an outstanding school in their most recent Ofsted inspection. The school is amongst the top in the country based on progress scores, with 90% of students moving on to HE, apprenticeships or employment.
They are now looking for a highly experienced Network Manager to lead the delivery of IT services throughout the whole school - including a small primary school.
The Role
You will lead a team comprising of yourself, a Deputy Network Manager and 2 technicians to deliver smooth running and efficient IT services throughout the school, overseeing the school's strategic and operational IT plan, providing network maintenance and upgrades, alongside general technical support throughout the school.
Responsibilities
1. Work closely with SLT to develop strategic plan
2. Review IT Networks & Systems
3. Line manage the IT team
4. Provide hands-on support throughout the school
5. Lead on cyber security
6. Ensure security of school information & data
7. Maintenance of virtualisation system
Requirements
Due to the nature of the position, previous experience of managing networks in an educational environment is required for this role. You must have hands-on experience managing and maintaining IT infrastructure and networks, and experience of staff management.
1. Strong knowledge of networks, LAN & WAN
2. Budget management
3. Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure)
4. Experience implementing new systems & infrastructure
5. VMware
6. Windows Server
