About the role
Based in Wareham, the Sports Centre is a large multi-activity community facility. A key aspect of local community life, this valuable facility is a joint provision centre, used both by the general public and Purbeck School students.
We are looking for a duty officer to join our committed and friendly team to assist with the day to day running of this popular local facility.
You will be a motivated and confident self-starter with a background in public facility operations. You will be customer focused, organised with a passion for health and well-being that you can bring into your day to day working experience. Your verbal and written communication skills will be excellent as you will need to liaise with both customers and your team. You will be able to demonstrate previous responsibility for building security and facilities and will be sharing the load with other colleagues by working on a shift basis including evenings and weekends.
If you enjoy a challenge and want to work with a small friendly and experienced team, in an unrivalled natural environment, we look forward to hearing from you. We can offer a variety of opportunities to build on your existing knowledge and help you develop new skills.
Benefits include free parking, located in the centre of a picturesque market town, discounted gym membership, and the opportunity to join the Local Government Pension Scheme.
