NEC Catering are seeking an experienced and talented Catering Manager to join the multi-skilled team at the NEC. If you have proven management experience in a large-scale catering operation in a senior manager role, this could be the opportunity that you have been waiting for.
Your role would be to operate all fixed and temporary catering for all trade and consumer shows and live events across halls 2, 3, 3a, and 4. Flexibility, forward planning, and logistics will play a major part in the role as you will move from hall to hall working varying shifts depending on the catering offer for over 140 different trade and public exhibitions.
You will be operational and responsible for workforce teams of between 10 and 50 staff. Team development will be critical as you will be required to proactively manage resources in a busy and often changing environment working from table service restaurants to café bars and self-service restaurants.
The Catering Manager position is one of four roles assigned to halls 1, 2, 3, 3A, and 4. You will be responsible for liaising with the culinary team on maintaining the front and back of house catering environment, equipment, staff facilities, and all relevant health and safety and food hygiene regulations.
Financial forecasting, staffing, stock control, and adapting your resources to the potential increase or decrease of catering demand of the assigned shows and catering areas will be a key responsibility.
