Questech Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Health Safety & Quality Co-Ordinator for one of our well established clients based in Castleford.
The purpose of this role is to work will be promoting interest and enthusiasm for Health & Safety and Quality matters throughout the site. Ensure excellent understanding, compliance and enforcing of all Health and Safety, & Quality protocols and policies to ensure the safety of all staff, contractors and visitors.
This role will be a key member of the Operations team supporting efficient operations across the site for Customer & Employee satisfaction. To be successful in this role the candidate must have the ability to obtain critical data sets to trace areas for improvements, the primary root cause drivers, scope future state solutions and influence roadmap decisions at depot manager level and measure effectiveness of solutions that are implemented over time.
Measures include results in:
• IFR
• PMI
• Near Miss reporting/Accident Reporting
• Risk Assessments
• Preventative measures
• Leading and achieving the desired results of audits
• Maintaining IOS 45001 and BRC Certification
• Legal Compliance
Duties will include but not be limited to:
• Report and document any non-conformances, incidents/accidents or near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Support and assist First Aiders and Site Manager/Supervisor/Team Leader in case of emergencies or incidents.
• Assist in the design and introduction of new processes or measures to improve Health and Safety standards.
• Ensuring all Risk Assessments are reviewed a minimum of 12 monthly
• Responsible for leading the Site’s Monthly safety & quality committee meetings
• Having an active role in on-site internal unannounced quality and Zero harm audits
Required Experience
• Understanding and knowledge of BRC requirements
• Experience of carrying out Internal Audits
• Understanding and knowledge of ISO 45001
