The role:
We are looking for a one-year placement student with a genuine passion for the software development industry coupled with the desire to gain valuable work experience in a collaborative and supportive work environment. As part of this role, you will be responsible for:
1. Providing first line support for our 15below platform including:
1. Liaising with our global customers and external partners
2. Investigating and resolving faults
3. Engaging problem-solving skills to ensure the root cause of any issue is identified and fixed
4. Providing ad hoc reporting
5. Monitoring core services and managing critical alerts
2. Fostering collaboration and communication amongst team members
3. Escalating support issues appropriately and communicating proactively with the Service Delivery Manager
4. Staying abreast with technical development and trends
5. Participating in process improvement initiatives
What kind of person you are:
1. Working towards a degree in Computer Science (or similar)
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
3. Software development skills (such as, ASP/ASP.NET, C#, SQL, VB/VB.NET)
4. Good problem solving and analytical skills
5. Excellent attention to detail
6. Organisational skills, with the ability to take on multiple duties
Skills to impress:
1. Experience and proficiency with cross-browser, cross platform development
2. Test first mentality (TDD, BDD)
