The role:
We are looking for a one-year placement student with a genuine passion for the software development industry coupled with the desire to gain valuable work experience in a collaborative and supportive work environment. As part of this role, you will be responsible for:
* Providing first line support for our 15below platform including:
o Liaising with our global customers and external partners
o Investigating and resolving faults
o Engaging problem-solving skills to ensure the root cause of any issue is identified and fixed
o Providing ad hoc reporting
o Monitoring core services and managing critical alerts
* Fostering collaboration and communication amongst team members
* Escalating support issues appropriately and communicating proactively with the Service Delivery Manager
* Staying abreast with technical development and trends
* Participating in process improvement initiatives
What kind of person you are:
* Working towards a degree in Computer Science (or similar)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Software development skills (such as, ASP/ASP.NET, C#, SQL, VB/VB.NET)
* Good problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Organisational skills, with the ability to take on multiple duties
Skills to impress:
* Experience and proficiency with cross-browser, cross-platform development
* Test first mentality (TDD, BDD)
