HMP Featherstone is a male prison with a population of 678 males, this is a training prison with a layout of 7 wings.

Hours
This role is 37.5 hours per week Monday - Sunday, shift patterns are:
* Weekdays - 7am - 6.30pm
* Weekends - 8.30am - 5.30pm (2 weekends in 4)
Salary
This position is full time, and you will receive an annual salary between £33,232 - £40,211.00 per annum depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Provide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback so that care is personalized and informed by what matters to them - focusing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
* Deliver non-judgmental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
* Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patients' care following our policies and procedures, always considering safeguarding.

Qualifications
Essential
* Qualified Paramedic
* Current professional registration (HCPC)
* Proven post-registration ambulance experience
* Evidence of continued professional development
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
* Proven experience in either: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments, or Minor injuries/illness
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
