We are looking for a passionate and experienced Early Years Leader to join our small, welcoming team at Bee in the Woods as Deputy Manager. Nestled within a beautiful woodland garden, we inspire children to thrive through outdoor play, creativity, and connection to nature.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with deputy manager, room leader or other leadership experience, who is passionate about early years education and the outdoors to join an “Outstanding” organisation who puts their people first.
Hours: 32hrs per week/4 days. Mon-Thurs
Pay: £25000 - £32000 pro rata
Starting: Asap
Based in a beautiful corner of Stanmer Park, we provide high quality Forest School education to children aged 3-5 years. With a focus on inclusion and wellbeing, our Deputy supports the Kindergarten Manager and ensures our provision meets the individual needs of each child. This is a Mon-Thurs role, though there are opportunities to pick up an extra day if full time is preferred.
What we are looking for in our ideal Deputy Manager...
- Relevant qualification for leading in an Early Years Setting
- Forest School Leader qualification (or a willingness to undertake training)
- Experience of working as a deputy/room leader in an Early Years setting
- Knowledge and experience of implementing the EYFS
- Knowledge and understanding of the safeguarding children obligations
- Highly organised, driven and motivated team-player
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes and interact with children, team-members
and parents for different purposes and different contexts
- Approachable and caring with a passion for working with children and the
outdoors
