About the service We are recruiting now for two Female Support Practitioners to support a lady with learning disabilities and hearing impairment within her own home. As a Support Practitioner, you will support her with her medication, personal care and finances. You will also support her with daily household tasks and with social outings and activities such as swimming, shopping, attending discos, bowling, walks and visiting her family. Due to the nature of the activities, you must be a driver, hold a full UK driving license and be willing to drive a work car. The shift pattern includes long and short days. Activity shifts are between 5 8 hours depending on the activity. There is one 24-hour shift which does include sleeping at the person s home. You will be required to work alternative weekends where possible. You should note that the shifts do change to meet the needs of the person therefore flexibility is required. For this position, Female is an Occupational Requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
