Location: Markam Vale (Junction 29A M1)
Basic Annual Salary: DOE – £ 24,000 - £ 27,000

Generations People is currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Administrator who has the potential to rejuvenate the department.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in transport coordination, fleet management, and logistic administration.
You will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, supporting the current transport team, and helping to maintain an efficient and compliant transport service.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring efficient coordination of deliveries and pickups.
2. Maintain accurate records for drivers, vehicles, and deliveries.
3. Assist in scheduling and route planning for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
4. Monitor driver performance, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with safety regulations.
5. Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve transportation issues.
6. Ensure all transportation documentation, including delivery notes and invoices, are properly completed and filed.
7. Maintain and update the transport management systems, ensuring data management.
8. Produce reports on key performance metrics, including delivery times, fuel consumption, and fleet utilization.
9. Ensure compliance with relevant transport regulations, including working time directives and health and safety requirements.
10. Respond swiftly to breakdowns and vehicle defect reports.
Skills & Experience:
1. Proven experience as a Transport Administrator or in a similar role within the logistics or transport industry.
2. Knowledge of transport regulations and best practices.
3. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
4. Driving capabilities would be an advantage but not a game changer.
5. Strong computer skills.
