You will take ownership of gathering and preparing data from diverse sources, developing and maintaining robust ML pipelines that ensure the quality, consistency, and governance of our machine learning models. Your work will be crucial in generating actionable insights, developing interactive applications or ML engines, and continuously refining processes to enhance business decision support.
Collaboration is key, and you will work alongside cross-functional teams to share knowledge, best practices, and mentor junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Day to day
* Determine and implement data science and operational research strategies to optimize our business processes.
* Conduct in-depth analysis and modelling to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
* Build high-impact data science applications - fundamentally optimising decisioning across the enterprise.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative solutions that enhance our operational efficiency.
* Keep abreast of the most recent industry developments and effective approaches in data science and operational research.
* Present findings and recommendations to senior management to drive informed decision-making.
About you
* Proven experience as a data scientist or operational researcher, with a strong track record of delivering successful projects.
* Proficiency in Python and SQL.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical individuals.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a numerical field, or equivalent experience.
This role is known internally as Senior Analyst - Data Science & Operational Research.
