Account Manager (Payroll & Accounting) - London/Hybrid - 18 Months - £200-£220 PAYE
A global technology company is looking for an experienced Account Manager (Payroll & Accounting) to join their team on an initial 18-month assignment. The successful candidate will join a team whose focus is to serve Accounting partners, powering prosperity in their practice. You will utilize your payroll & accounting knowledge and resources to provide Accountants with the specialized support and guidance they need to achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:
1. Providing support to our sales partners, with a critical focus on strategy and deployment, including effective communication to customers and multiple internal stakeholders.
2. Share understanding and expertise with partners of the relevant payroll principles. Be the first point of contact to resolve challenging customer queries, with empathy, using appropriate problem-solving strategies, troubleshooting skills, knowledge, and experience.
3. Act as a consultant to our Accounting partners, holding consultative conversations and using questioning skills to uncover customer pain points while looking for opportunities to match offerings as solutions.
4. In conjunction with the payroll support, you will also be asked to support the team in a similar way with accounting knowledge and expertise.
Skills/Experience:
1. Accounting or bookkeeping and Payroll membership (e.g. ACCA, ICB or CIPP).
2. Good communication skills.
3. Understanding of payroll and accounting.
4. Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
5. Knowledge of accountancy firm environments, workflows and likely expected challenges.
6. Effective time management across multiple tasks.
Desirable:
1. Have worked in a payroll department.
2. Have worked for an accounting firm.
